Day 3-Monday
Today, we will experience firsthand some of the specialties for which Normandy is famous.
First, we will visit the covered market in St. Pierre sur Dives.

Market Day
You may choose to purchase the makings for a delicious picnic lunch at the market
and enjoy it in the beautiful little park, Jardin Conservatoire,
or stop in at one of the interesting cafes or restaurants in town.

After which, you are free to stroll around on your own
and enjoy this interesting little town.

St. Pierre sur Dives
After lunch, we'll travel to Bayeux to view the world famous 230ft long tapisserie
depicting the events leading up to the Norman conquest of England in 1066.
An audio commentary is available to aid your enjoyment.
Also take a leisurely stroll around the medieval town and explore its
many secrets, including the majestic Cathedrale Notre Dame-Bayeux.

On returning “home” (doesn’t that sound great!),
you’ll have time to lounge by the heated swimming pool,
sip a glass of wine or cider outdoors, take a nap,
or just pinch yourself to make sure you really aren’t dreaming.
Later, you get dressed and have a leisurely dinner at a cozy little restaurant
in a beautiful nearby village.
A wonderful end to a perfect day! (B, D)
